Sauna & Summer House Electrical Installation
Project Overview
The client had recently built a modern garden summer house, designed to include a dedicated sauna space. To make the entire structure comfortable, practical, and safe for year-round use, a full electrical installation was required.
The project involved installing power and lighting throughout the summer house, along with a separate circuit for the sauna area, which needed specific safety measures due to heat and moisture. This included heat-resistant components, moisture-protected fittings, and a clearly marked emergency isolation switch installed outside the sauna entrance.
All work was completed with careful attention to the aesthetic of the building — keeping the install neat, concealed where possible, and matching the clean, modern style of the structure.

Consumer Units – Installed sub-consumer units in both the sauna and the summer house

Power Sockets – Double wall & floor sockets, outdoor weatherproof
Electric Heaters – With thermostats
Emergency isolation switch – for the sauna mounted outside the unit for quick and safe shut-off
Resistant materials – Used moisture and heat resistant materials suitable for sauna conditions
Safety Certification – Fully tested, Part P compliant

Both the sauna and summer house are now fully wired, safely heated, and ready to use in any season. The emergency switch adds an extra layer of safety for sauna use, and all fittings were installed with long-term reliability in mind. The client was very happy with the neat finish and attention to safety.
